“Yahoo AdWords” - Really?
For the record, “Yahoo AdWords” doesn’t exist - it is a misnomencleture. What people mean by Yahoo AdWords is actually either “Yahoo Search Marketing” or “Google AdWords“, both of which are Pay Per Click Services. The irony is… Google and Yahoo are direct competitors.
So the question really is… which one should you choose to do your marketing on? Well, the short answer is obviously both. They each have their advantages and disadvantages…
And if you had the budget and the time, you would manage pay per click campaigns on both networks and get the benefits from both networks. But the thing is, many of us may not have the time and/or the money. So what about those that have to choose JUST one PPC service to start with?
Well, I’d have to say Google AdWords, hands down. I mean, beside the obvious fact that there’s a free AdWords tutorial at SeduceAdWords.com… Google is the lead of the PPC world and is steadily pulling away from the pack. Heck, even Microsoft and Yahoo are talking about joining forces to “gang up” on Google.
But I don’t think that’ll help. Google has the savviest algorithms and attract the most number of searchers (which means more potential clietns for you). On top of that, if you can do well on AdWords, there’s is without a doubt you can do well on any other pay per click markets.
As a matter of fact, you’ll want to take the best performing keywords, ads, etc. from your Google AdWords campaigns and stcik them on the other networks.
This is the way I recommend you starting… master Google AdWords before tinkering with other PPC services, including “Yahoo AdWords”
