Is There Something Like AdWords.com for the Beginner?

For the business new to online marketing using Google to reach customers seems like an easy proposition and something that requires very little effort or understanding.  All you have to do is write three lines of text, provide a link to your web site and you are in business. Advertising on Google in reality is a little more complicated than that.

There are so many companies out there who would gladly pay for someone to provide Adwords training or hire someone to be the Adwords expert Adwords editor.  The potential revenue generated from an Adwords campaign is enticing but the Adwords product is cumbersome and confusing.  If you do not clearly understand how Google works and how Google calculates Adwords pricing then you run a pretty good chance of losing money and eventually removing your ad because you are paying upwards of $2.00 per click.  There is money to be made for both the company seeking to place a Google Adwords and the person who can generate the right quality score with certain keywords to help a company utilize Google’s market potential.

Google also offers free Adwords training on its web site but it also offers a service called Adsense. Google AdSense is a way for websites to display relevant Google ads right on the web site. Adsense will also evaluate the keywords you are using on your web site and recommend keywords with a higher quality score.  Adsense allows advertisers to enhance their text ads to include images and video.  The trend is to move away from Adwords on a search page to site directed Adsense ads that are seen as less intrusive or can be displayed as banner ads.   A web site might also provide a Google search bar within its web site to search both the web site and the web.  The web site receives money for displaying relevant Google ads on its site.
